about alexia

My fun-filled upbringing during the '70s and '80s, made me a highly visual and creative woman, with a witty sense of humour. As an only child, I quickly made use of my imagination, playing make-believe chef in a mini kitchen with rubber food, drawing with chalk and worn-down crayons, or singing to my favourite songs from musicals like Annie or Grease.

From age 6, my idle hands (and feet!) were kept busy with figure skating, piano lessons, band class and choir. During my Grade 8 graduation, I received achievements awards in both music and art, skills I continued to nurture throughout high school and into her post-graduate studies at both the University of Toronto and Sheridan College.

Nowadays, I'm embracing technology as a way to be creative, occasionally working as a freelance web and graphic designer and most recently dabbling in photography. Some of my photos have already been featured in various internationally-based blogs, as well as published in print. Whenever I need to step back from the low hum and glow of my laptop, I also like knitting and crocheting, skills I taught myself over 5 years ago.

Since its humble beginnings in 1997, my web site – and my creative outlook – have evolved several times and will continue to do so until the unlikely event I run out of ideas, so visit often for updates.
Thanks for stopping by! :)
